I am an optimist. I don’t want to be, mind you, because I get let down an awful lot by my optimism, but I am. I have moments where it fades, of course. These moment are triggered by reality being a little too real.

For example, the riots in France don’t feel at all like any kind of spontaneous protests that got out of hand about the state of education. Not when all of the rioters happen to Muslim “immigrants” who have already made parts of France into no-go zones before it.

Yes, I know that French President Macaroon claims it’s not what we think and that this really is about education and that we shouldn’t blame Leftists for this crap, but since he’s already shown he’s afraid of the truth, I can dismiss anything he says out of hand.

This doesn’t feel like the middle of some kind of civil unrest, but the start of something more sinister.

However, we can’t go that deep into it, because we’ve got Sen. Elissa Slotkin who is now under fire for comments about going after Republicans when Democrats take power back.

Her defenders are claiming that they’re just going to go after those who are corrupt, which would be fine…if I believed her or the American Left anymore than I believe Macaroon. I don’t. Why? Because they played his game before.

In 2020, my fourth real post here at Substack was about an effort at retribution against Trump administration officials who then needed a new job after the outcome of the election.

We saw what they did to Trump after he left office — voluntarily, unlike the fascist they claimed he was would have done — and we saw what they did to some of his advisors. The kangaroo courts were busy.

Slotkin and her defenders claim that they’ve done nothing, that this is simply about going after the corrupt, but we need to remember that to them, anyone who doesn’t side with them is corrupt.

In other words, even if they believe what they’re saying, it’s a difference without meaning. They take the mere existence of people working for Trump as proof they’re criminal.

What they want isn’t justice. It’s not fairness. What they want is a witch hunt. Slotkin’s defenders claim she was taken out of context when she said she wanted to discourage younger Republicans, but I don’t believe her there, either. That’s exactly what they want.

See, I don’t talk about politics outside of work in part because I just don’t want the drama of arguing politics with friends and family. They know what I do, but I try to keep a lot of it on the down low for my own sanity.

But I have outlets where I talk about it constantly. I have a voice still, so I don’t feel particularly silenced. Others, however, don’t have that, and they don’t want the psycho left hounding them.

They’ve been alienated, discouraged, all of the things that Slotkin wants to see foisted on younger Republicans. The reason? When there’s no voice of opposition, you can steal an election much easier.

Hell, you don’t even have to steal it, because no one is going to be brave enough to speak on behalf of anyone to the right of Stalin. No one will want to talk up the right’s policy proposals, all because they’ve been effectively been bullied into silence.

And I get it.

Slotkin, however, seems to resent the fact that not everyone has been cowed, and so she wants to come in, guns blazing, and prosecute everyone.

Of course, there’s a reason everyone in the Biden administration got a pardon, and it wasn’t because they deserved it. They knew they were corrupt as hell and weren’t going to keep their mouths shut without a pardon.

I don’t know, maybe I’m rambling here, but Slotkin is a piece of crap for her comments, I don’t believe her when she says she’d only going to go after the corrupt, and France and Italy (forgot to mention them above) are burning because “migrants” are “enriching” the culture there.

The truth is that I have a ton going on. I’ve got massive medical bills, now my son has them, we have no insurance, and I’m at my wits end about how to break out of literally everything that’s been kicking me in the teeth, and so the fact that I actually find Slotkin’s words a lot more concerning than everything else going on in my life should be considered incredibly telling.
