In this Monty-Python style animation, Uncle Sam tries to use forever wars, global piracy and corporate greed to Make America Great Again . But surreal, pudgy-footed, medieval rabbit cartoons have armed themselves with hypercomic weapons and are striking back against the Empire!

coconut-powered flying saucer to escape the wrath of vicious Killer Bunnies!

“ Attack of the Killer Bunnies ! “
Inspired by the surrealist movement, pop culture and centuries of rather serious art and literature, a courageous band of righteous rabbits has jumped from the illuminated pages of crusader-era Christian manuscripts to combat what Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr., called “the greatest purveyor of violence in the world”—the US government.
Hopping mad, and pointing their quick-witted humor at heartless imperial hubris, these brave bunnies are scrapping with what they see as the scariest of scourges upon all of galactic history, namely, American exceptionalism. In these rabbits’ view, Uncle Sam’s national superiority complex has been harnessed by Mr. MAGA to make the US, Israel, Iran, Venezuela, Gaza and NATO “great again,” one profitably-violent blunder at a time.
Don’t look now but Sam, backed by peace bombs & mushroom clouds,
is revealed to be “The Man behind the Curtain” (Wizard of Oz, 1939)
Oh No! … Not AGAIN!
But how can Uncle Sam make the US (or anywhere) great again , the film’s big-eared warriors demand, when American roots are so steeped in genocide, land plunder, slavery and imperial invasions? Was there ever an instant in Sam’s long sordid history when he (or one of his heavily-armed proxies) was not busily waging wars, imposing coups, bombing innocent civilians or subverting democracies in the name of peace, freedom and wholesome family values?
But there’s nothing new to see here. Since time immemorial, profit-seeking oligarchs
with an insatiable craving for power, have pursued their Holy Grail of corporatism
with the ravenous hunger of grave-robbing zombie cannibals from outer space!
The Dude of La Mancha, anchorman of the Quixote News Network,
asks if this quote was written by Karl Marx and learns of its biblical origins.
The fangs of this MAGMA-spewing grin turn out to be the hoods of US terrorists.
Fed up with being hunted down and eaten for dinner, our fearless troupe of weapon-wielding bunnies is happy to be part of this film which dishes out such bitingly-true tidbits of ancient wisdom as the following:
“There is a class of people, with teeth like swords, and fangs as sharp as butchers’ knives, that feed on the oppressed of the earth and devour the poor of humanity.”
(Thus spake Agur, son of Jakeh, in the Bible’s Book of Proverbs, 30:14)
A Recurring Motif in the film: The Weaponization of Smiles
It is true that bitter doses of reality can be made more palatable when seasoned with smiling humor. However, by the same token, beaming teeth and laughing lips don’t always reflect goodwill. To some politicians, villains and predators, wolfish grins are often the first course of action that they take, before eating their tasty, unsuspecting victims alive!
Alice in Wonderland: “Well! I’ve often seen a cat without a grin,
but a grin without a cat! It’s the most curious thing .”
“Just because someone has a great smile,” goes the wise Haitian proverb, “does not mean they are your friend.”
Many examples of this truth are explored in this film. Take the curious case of Maria Machado, whose surname aptly means “Axe.” When disembodied from her smile, the Nobel Peace Prize winner of 2025, gleefully lectures us about her wondrous, US-backed movement to “make Venezuela great again.” Although her malicious lips proclaim that she is supported by “ the most humble and vulnerable sectors of society ,” she also tells us that “ Venezuela is going to be the brightest opportunity for investment of American companies of good people that are going to make a lot of money!”
The ancient Gods of Hypocrisy and Duplicity were surely smiling when
Maria “The Axe” Machado gave away the Peace Medal she’d received
from the estate of dynamite inventor Alfred “What Me Worry” Nobel.
Viewers are then treated to a series of strangely-surreal snapshots of “The Axe,” as she shares smiles with such super “humble and vulnerable” allies as: Donald Trump, her Papa (“The Great Oligarch” of Venezuela), the Pope, George “Dubya” Bush, the Shah/King of Iran, Israel’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Norway’s King and Queen, and the US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio.
As the plot thickens and the creepy grins of characters like The Axe, The Joker, The Cheshire Cat, Uncle Sam and others, get curiouser and curiouser, Alice enters the scene from her 1972 musical film.
The seductive smiles of predators have evolved to attract and distract their prey.
But since the struggle for survival is a two-edge sword, the tables can quickly turn.
Alice sings Lewis Carroll’s poem (“How Doth the Crocodile”) from her Adventures in Wonderland (1865
“How cheerfully he seems to grin,
How neatly spreads his claws,
And welcomes little fishes in
With gently smiling jaws!”
(Carroll’s poem parodies a sickly sanctimonious 1715 verse by British imperial theologian and hymnist, Sir Isaac Watts, called “Against Idleness and Mischief.” In it he blessed the capitalist work ethic by praising the busy-ness of bees.)
Charlie Chaplin joins the Quixote News Network (QNN) team to give Rosie some quick lessons on firing off slapstick reports. This show’s Special Guest Villain was an easy target for QNN’s antiImperialist/antiwar punchlines.
Cultural References Galore
This film is a tragicomic romp through history hosted by a clay rendition of Don Quixote from Miguel de Cervantes’ 1605 novel. From the first small step in this cinematic odyssey through to the farcical absurdity of today’s political landscape, we get whiff after whiff that something comically devilish is afoot in the MAGAverse. What follows is a picaresque pilgrimage in which we encounter more cultural references than even Rosie, the Quixote team’s Riveting Reporter, can shake her slap-stick microphone at.
This puzzle of a film weaves together many visual collages, hand-crafted animations, musical genres, and short clips featuring a kaleidoscopic cast of colliding celebrity characters. The film’s guests include: Donald Trump, Martin Luther King Jr, Bill and Hillary Clinton, Hugo Chavez, Ronald Reagan, Charlie Chaplin, Mae West, John Cleese, The Amazing Criswell, Archie Bunker, Miami-Cuban Rosa María Payá, and Cesar “The Joker” Romero (who proudly reveals that his maternal grandfather was none other than that great cultural icon of Cuban revolutionaries, José Martí!).
Cameo appearances include Charles Lindberg, Charlton Heston and Ollie North, who add to the structured chaos of animated antics that are sprinkled throughout this oddly-disarming documentary.
The Final Scene
After the Python’s Minister of Silly Dances does his go-go routine during the 1960s Batman-style credits, there’s a parade of our medieval Killer-Bunny superheroes. This choreographed march, with nine members of Monty Rabbit’s Flying Circus, is followed by some illuminating tricks. Our big-footed White Rabbit channels his inner magician with shadow puppetry from a 1930s newsreel. Bopping bunnies are projected onto a moon-like boulder from a surrealist 1959 painting by René Magritte. An up-turned bowler hat offers a final rabbit hole into which our magical trickster throws himself. This sacrifice enables the emergence from the conjurer’s hat of a rabbit-headed dove. This strange creature will—no doubt—wage future struggles against space-age, imperialist pirates who still plague our world.
Almost half the world’s population, mostly living in the BRICS countries,
have folklore which allows them to see the giant rabbit in the moon.

I really hope you enjoy this dream-like political satire and will spread it around like fertile compost! The film is loaded with about as much meaning as I could spare, and then some. As you might imagine, it took months to produce this thing, which was created with 99% old-school, labor-intensive animation (not AI).
