Several Palestinians killed, injured in Israeli attacks in Gaza

At least four Palestinian civilians were martyred and several others were injured in intense Israeli attacks in different areas of the Gaza Strip yesterday and at dawn Friday.

According to media sources, an Israeli airstrike targeted a police post near the Maslakh area in Khan Yunis, southern Gaza, killing three people and injuring others.

Two of the martyrs were identified as police officer Hussam Shurab and Mohamed al‑Dadda, while the identity of the third victim has not yet been confirmed.

Earlier on Thursday evening, one citizen was killed and others were injured in an Israeli airstrike on Gaza City’s az‑Zeitoun neighborhood, while Israeli forces destroyed two residential blocks in Deir al‑Balah and ash‑Shati refugee camp.

The martyr in az-Zeitoun neighborhood was identified as Abdullah Abdul-Wahhab, 24.

In another incident, several people were wounded in a strike on a piece of land near agricultural greenhouses and the barn of Habis al‑Astal in the al‑Mawasi area of al‑Qarara, northwest of Khan Yunis. The bombed site sustained extensive damage.

Local sources said that the same area was subjected to successive Israeli airstrikes, accompanied by gunfire from Israeli military vehicles east of Khan Yunis, causing further destruction in the targeted zones.

In Gaza City, an Israeli airstrike hit an apartment in the al‑Yarmouk area, leaving five people injured and causing widespread destruction.

In Deir al‑Balah, central Gaza, an Israeli strike targeted the vicinity of Shuhada al‑Aqsa Hospital north of the city, destroying a house that had been evacuated in Abu Mansi neighborhood, and severely damaging another house and a swath of land belonging to Talal Abu Mansi.

Another strike hit a tract of agricultural land near Shuhada al‑Aqsa Hospital, causing additional damage in the area.

Meanwhile, Israeli artillery bombardment continued northeast of al‑Bureij camp in central Gaza, as Israeli forces detonated several residential buildings east of Gaza City.

Last night, Israeli warplanes bombed Namaa displacement camp in the Hamad area of Khan Yunis, injuring several people and destroying property.

Earlier in the evening, Israeli aircraft also struck a house in ash‑Shati camp, with no reported casualties.

One citizen was reportedly injured by Israeli gunfire in the as‑Salatin area of Beit Lahia in northern Gaza.

On Thursday morning, 31-year-old Hayel al‑Kurd was pronounced dead after succumbing to wounds sustained last Tuesday in an Israeli drone strike on al‑Zawaida town in the central governorate.

Another citizen also succumbed to bullet injuries when Israeli forces opened fire at him in az-Zeitoun neighborhood of Gaza City.
