WEST BANK, (PIC)
Israeli forces carried out a new wave of large-scale military raids and coordinated operations across the occupied West Bank and Occupied Jerusalem overnight and into Friday morning, triggering violent confrontations that left several Palestinians injured.
The escalating incursions come amid ongoing military operations marked by intensified restrictions on Palestinian communities, direct attacks on civilians, and repeated obstruction of medical teams attempting to reach and treat the wounded.
The raids began in the northern West Bank, where Israeli military vehicles stormed the town of Allar, north of Tulkarem, raiding and searching homes. A separate incursion targeted the town of Anabta, east of Tulkarem, where troops conducted patrols throughout the area.
In Nur Shams refugee camp in Tulkarem, Israeli forces fired live ammunition heavily toward Palestinian homes and property, heightening tensions in the camp.
In Nablus, Israeli military vehicles entered the city through the Deir Sharaf checkpoint and advanced into the Habla neighborhood in the heart of the Old City, where soldiers carried out extensive home raids and searches.
Some of the fiercest confrontations occurred on the outskirts of Al-Mughayyir village, northeast of Ramallah, where Israeli forces fired large quantities of live ammunition and tear gas.
Six Palestinians were injured in Al-Mughayyir, including three who were shot with live ammunition. They were transported with difficulty to the Palestine Medical Complex in Ramallah.
According to local sources, Israeli forces also detained Palestinian Red Crescent ambulance crews and confiscated the keys to their emergency vehicles, preventing them from reaching and treating wounded civilians inside one of the homes.
Israeli forces simultaneously raided the neighboring city of Al-Bireh, conducting similar search operations.
In Occupied Jerusalem, Israeli troops entered the town of Hizma, north of the city, patrolling its streets before raiding a home, ransacking its contents, and causing extensive property damage.
Israeli forces also stormed Dheisheh refugee camp in the Bethlehem governorate, where they searched a residential home and damaged its contents.
Meanwhile, several Palestinians, including women and children, were injured on Friday morning after Israeli settlers attacked the Al-Huwara area of Masafer Yatta, south of al-Khalil.
Local sources said a group of settlers assaulted members of the Al-Jabour family while they were on their land near their home, spraying them with pepper spray and physically attacking them.
Palestinian Red Crescent ambulance crews treated the victims and transported seven injured people to Yatta Government Hospital, including four women, two children, and an elderly man.
According to local sources, Israeli forces that arrived at the scene provided protection to the settlers, participated in the assault, and arrested three people.
The attack comes amid a continued rise in settler violence targeting Palestinian towns and villages across the occupied West Bank.
According to the Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission, Israeli forces and settlers carried out 11,074 attacks across the occupied West Bank during the first half of 2026, reflecting a significant escalation in violence.
