The British cosmetics retailer Lush has launched a new product on Thursday in support of the right to protest amid draconian measures within UK courts that threaten pro-Palestinian activism.
Lush's new limited-edition "Resilience" bath bomb was designed to highlight the "constitutional crisis" unfolding in the nation, including peaceful protesters being arrested and sentenced in court.
Seventy-five percent of the sale price will be donated to the activist group Defend Our Juries , which has been campaigning for people who have been arrested for expressing support for Palestine Action, classed by the UK government as a "terrorist" organisation".
"We are launching Resilient Bath Bomb in the UK to raise money for Defend Our Juries, who are having to work tirelessly to highlight the erosion of the rights to protest and trial by jury, things Lush share their deep concerns about," a spokesperson for Lush told The New Arab .
The High Court ruled the government's ban on Palestine Action unlawful last February but the government successfully appealed this in June.
"We're pleased to be partnering with LUSH, one of the leading names on the British High Street," a spokesperson for Defend Our Juries (DOJ) told The New Arab .
"It highlights the problem for the British state, as they prioritise the interests of their friends in the oil and arms industries and the Israeli lobby over the rights and freedoms of ordinary people."
"The more they try to silence us, the more allies step forward, and the faster our movement grows."
Rights groups have condemned the continued ban on Palestine Action, describing it as a misuse of counter-terrorism powers and a threat to the right to protest .
Five members of the proscribed group have been sentenced as terrorists , despite having only been convicted of criminal offences. The juries at their trials and the public were unaware that this would be happening until 11 June.
Lush has in the past given vocal support to many causes, including ones relating to the environment and animal rights as well as Palestine. All Lush stores closed their doors and factories for a day in September 2025 in solidarity with the Palestinians , calling for an end to the war in Gaza.
Lush also ran a fundraiser selling a "Watermelon Slice" soap bar, with proceeds sent to medical and humanitarian aid for Gaza and the West Bank.
It also published a corporate statement saying it stood with Gaza and called for an end to arms sales to Israel .
