Somalia went a step closer to qualifying for the next round 9th CAF U-17 Championship, Rwanda 2011 with a surprising 3-1 win over Kenya in Djibouti.
The match played in Djibouti due to the unstable conditions in Mogadishu saw the Somalis cruising to a commanding first leg lead.
Striker Jabril Mohamed fired the Somalis into a two- goal lead with strikes in each half before Hassan Mohamed netted the third goal few minutes later.
The Kenyans grabbed a consolation during the closing stages of the game through from a resulting free-kick.
The second leg will come off in Nairobi in a fortnight.
