Iran held the 12th Holy Qur'an Exhibition, with nineteen countries participating, 250 Iranian publishing houses and 35 computer companies showcasing their latest products related to the Holy Qur'an.
The opening ceremony was held Thursday and it was attended by a number of Iranian ministers and members of the Islamic corps.
The exhibition was inaugurated by the former Iranian leader, Ayatollah Akbar Hashmi Rafsanjani, who said in his opening speech that Muslim countries are capable of occupying a distinguished position in the world.
He also said that in order to achieve their goals, Muslims have to abide by the rules of the Holy Qur'an, adding that this way they can ensure the best ways of solving the problems of humanity.
