A source in the Iraqi defense ministry announced the killing of lawyer Antar al-Janabi, who defends one of the aides of the toppled Iraqi President Saddam Hussein.
The source, which wanted to be anonymous, added that the "Iraqi security forces found his body on late Thursday evening behind al-Fardous mosque in Or quarters" northeast of Baghdad. Gunmen kidnapped lawyer al-Janabi on Thursday evening.
He explained that al-Janabi was killed by bullet to the head. The body was taken to the justice medicine department.
