(Nairobi, Kenya) Prime Minister Ali Mohamed Geddi said his government will return to Somalia no later than the end of next month. He announced the relocation timeline and his plan to visit Mogadishu this Friday in a meeting with Arab ambassadors to Kenya.
Mr. Geddi and the Arab League representatives discussed his immediate visit to Mogadishu and the government's plan to return to the country. The prime minister also met with the director in the Africa Division of the UN's Department of Political Affairs Mr. Haile Menkerios separately.
Somali government spokesman Mr. Abdirahman Dinari told SomaliNet both meetings took place at the prime minister's office and ended in total agreements on all issues discussed. He also confirmed the prime minister’s planned visit to Somalia.
In another development, Uganda said it is going to send about 800 soldiers and their equipment to Somalia in first week of May. The original plan was April 30th.
