Israeli army shoots 13 year old boy in the head

Operations by the Israeli occupation forces against the Palestinian areas in the first day of Eid al-Adha holiday continued on Thursday. One Palestinian child was seriously injured when the occupation soldiers opened fired at a group of children while they were playing with a gun-shaped dummy in Jenin, the West Bank.

Medical sources said that child Ahmad al-Khatib, 13 years old,,,,, is in critical health condition after he was hit by the Israeli bullets in the stomach and the head.

Large Israeli forces incurred on Thursday in the city and its camp supported by Apache copters and besieged one house under the pretext that there is one member of the Islamic Jihad movement inside it, and detained 17 persons in Jenin, Toulkarem, and Bethlehem most of them members in the Islamic resistance, Hamas and the Islamic Jihad.

One Israeli soldier was injured when on mortar shelling fired from Gaza fell on a military position near Nahal town south of Israel. The occupation army said that it retaliated by an artillery bombardment at the area from which the mortars shelling were fired to the north of Gaza.

The leading figure in Hamas, Mahmoud al-Zahhar, said that the movement provides calm but receives no similar action from Israel. However, he rejects any initiative to dismantle the weapons of Hamas.
