The ambassadors of Egypt, Jordan return back to Israel within two weeks

The spokesman for the Egyptian cabinet Majdi Radi said that Egypt's ambassador to Israel will return back to Tel Aviv within one week or ten days just four years after his withdrawal from Israel by the beginning of the Palestinian Intifada.

Both Egypt and Jordan announced returning back their ambassadors to Tel Aviv during the Quartet summit which brought together the Palestinian President Yasser Arafat, the Israeli prime minister, the Egyptian President and the Jordanian king at Sharm al-Sheikh resort on the Red Sea on Tuesday.

The Egyptian foreign minister Ahmad Abu al-Gheit said the two ambassadors will return back to Israel within two weeks, while the Jordanian foreign minister said that the first mission of the new ambassador is to discuss how Jordan can help in the continued negotiations between the Palestinian and Israeli sides in order to achieve peace.
