
The leadership of the Somalia Football Federation (SFF) visited FIFA today 8 October. Welcomed by FIFA President Joseph S. Blatter, General Secretary Dr Urs Linsi (far right) and Deputy General Secretary Jérôme Champagne (far left), the Somali delegation, comprising President Mohamed Salad (second right), Vice-President Nur Said (third left) and General Secretary Arab Abdiqani (second left), discussed with FIFA a wide range of topics.
At the centre of the talks were the relaunch of Somali football under the auspices of the SFF and with the inclusion of all regions, new statutes and other measures to normalise the situation of football in the country.
During the day, the Somalia FF officials were also given a series of presentations from the various FIFA divisions. Moreover, SFF President and former player Salad was also bestowed upon the FIFA Centennial Order of Merit as representative of Somali
football.
