Kashmir's senior separatist politician, Syed Ali Shah Geelani, urged Muslims across the world to leave their differences and unite.

Geelani, who is also Chairman of the breakaway faction of Hurriyat Conference and a member of the international contact group of Islamic countries, strongly denounced the explosion which took place inside a mosque in Pakistan on Friday and the killing of Gaza citizens in Palestine.

"The killings of Muslims in Palestine, Iraq, Afghanistan and Kashmir is going on at the hands of enemy powers, the same is being done in Pakistan with the help of enemies of Islam.” Geelani said.

He also said that those who call themselves Muslims and engage in violence and threaten the lives and properties of fellow Muslims can not be the true worshippers of the Muslim Umma or “community”.

He said that these people are not only harming the image of Islam but their activities have also threatened the sovereignty of Pakistan, adding that since all Muslims across the globe had set up their eyes towards Pakistan, then there should be no place for sectarian, linguistic, land and communal bias in the country.

Geelani also said that the time has come for all Muslims around the world to ignore their differences and unite against the state terrorism unleashed by enemy powers.
