In his address to mark the 35th anniversary of the Revolution, Muammar al-Gadhafi urged the Basic People's Congresses to invite, as from now, international observers to attend their sessions and popular selection processes for their secretariats and People's Committees.
He said that the presence of those international observers has become required and ordinary.
In this way the Jamahiri thought could be analyzed and understood by the world by means of direct acquaintance of the Libyan people as they practice their authority. In this way commitment to credibility and transparency in the selection could be ascertained for the world, he added.
