The graduate job market has received a boost with the news that 32.9% of all employers are planning to increase graduate recruitment levels in 2010.
The Association of Graduate Recruiters says a further 43.5% of companies plan to keep levels constant.
The survey also revealed that many employers would be putting more effort into attracting graduates, with just over 60% indicating they would spend more or the same amount of time at campus recruitment fairs.
Carl Gilleard, chief executive of the Association of Graduate Recruiters, said: "The fact that most employers expect to have an active presence on campuses this year and are maintaining or raising their graduate recruitment targets shows an understanding of how important investment in attracting new talent is to the future of their businesses."
The research follows a call by Penny de Valk, chief executive of the Institute of Leadership & Management, for companies to ensure sufficient help and support is offered to graduate employees.
