Six people hurt as buses collide in Tottenham

Six people have been treated in hospital after two buses collided in north London.

The 243 double-decker and a 149 bendy-bus hit each other in High Road, Tottenham, at about 0700 BST.

A 149 bendy bus and a 243 double-decker collided in High Road, Tottenham, sending the double-decker careering across the pavement and into a patch of grass.

The bendy-bus then hit the side of a block of flats, a London Fire Brigade spokesman said.

A TfL spokesperson said: "We can confirm there was an incident on High Road, Tottenham, at around 7am this morning involving buses on routes 243 and 149, both operated by Arriva. Emergency services are on scene.

Six people on the buses were taken to hospital for minor injuries and have since been released. Police have launched an investigation.
