Bomb targets Ohio mosque

A bomb exploded late Tuesday near a mosque and a building owned by an Islamic Association in Ohio, police said.

No casualties were reported.

The mosque closed at about 8 p.m. Tuesday. Two hours later, police received a call from someone who heard an explosion.

Reports say the blast took place near a two-story brick house owned by the Islamic Association of Cincinnati and an attached worship center that opened about two years ago.

Police sealed nearby streets and investigators searched the area with bomb-sniffing dogs.

"This is very disturbing,'' said Karen Daboub, director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations in Cincinnati. "And not only for this mosque and our community, but for the Islamic community in and around Greater Cincinnati.''
